GARLIC CHICKEN STIR FRY: A Quick and Tasty Delight



1 Lb.Of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced.

3 Tbsp.Of soy sauce.

2 Tbsp.Of oyster sauce.

1 Tbsp.Of hoisin sauce.

1 Tbsp.Of cornstarch.

1 Tbsp.Of sesame oil.

3 Tbsp.Of vegetable oil, divided.

4 cloves garlic, minced.

1 Tbsp.Of fresh ginger, minced.

1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced.

1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced.

1 Cup.Of snap peas, ends trimmed.

1 medium carrot, julienned.

1 Cup.Of broccoli florets.

Cooked rice or noodles, for serving.

Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional).


1st Step

Combine the sliced chicken, soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil in a mixing bowl. Give the chicken at least 15 to 20 minutes to marinate. In a wok or sizable pan, heat up two teaspoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

2nd Step

Spread out the marinated chicken in a thin layer on the heated wok or pan. Cook the chicken for 3–4 minutes, or until it is well-cooked and browned. After taking the chicken out of the skillet, put it aside.

3rd Step

Add the last tablespoon of vegetable oil to the same wok. Ginger and minced garlic should be sautéed for one minute or until fragrant.

4th Step

To the wok, add the broccoli florets, julienned carrot, snap peas, and bell peppers cut into slices. The veggies should be crisp-tender after 3–4 minutes of stir-frying.

5th Step

Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and combine all the ingredients. To ensure the flavors combine and the chicken is well heated, cook it for a further two to three minutes.

6th Step

Serve the Stir-fried Garlic Chicken with Rice or Noodles. If preferred, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

7th Step
