Homemade Pepperoni Garlic Bread

1 loaf of French bread, sliced in half horizontally

¼ cup of salted butter, softened

½ teaspoon of garlic powder

½ cup of pizza sauce

1-2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

Spread the softened butter evenly over each slice of bread and sprinkle with garlic powder. Place the slices on a baking sheet and bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until they are lightly toasted.

Once toasted, spread the pizza sauce evenly over the top of each bread slice. Optionally, add any desired additional toppings.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce-covered slices.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Allow the garlic bread to cool for a few minutes, then slice it.
